"You can do anything you want, anything at all, except for that, that is the one thing you cannot do here at ZomboCon." - Zombie McZomperson, CEZ of ZomboCon
By 'except for that' I mean post pictures.  That's right, today will be completely picture-free!  Not that any of us should be excited because of it.  But there are two events this month that should be cause for excitement!  One is AWA, or Anime Weekend Atlanta, which I've already expressed some excitement for.  The other is an event that feels a month ahead of it's time known as ZWA!
No not Zombie Weekend Atlanta, as cool as that would be.  No, not a whole weekend, just one day, Sunday, September 26th.  The W stands for the one speed zombies have, Walk.  The streets of Atlanta will be flooded with the shuffling and lurching bodies of the walking undead.  Normally part of the Atlanta Horror Fest, which normally graces us in October, Zombie Walk Atlanta was amputated from the larger event like an arm or a leg from it's still screaming body due to scheduling conflicts with the music show.
So just one week after the super-fun AWA, we get ZWA for a day.  Being a free event (outside of a MARTA ticket or two) it's open to anyone willing to take a little Karo-syryp to the face (or whatever they are using for fake blood these days).  And lets not forget, it is a walk across town and even the brain-feeding undead need comfortable shoes.  Without such I'm sure their feet would be worn down to the ankle by now.
All this talk about events in Atlanta in the month of September and no mention to the real apocalypse?  By which I mean the street-flooding of people in (mostly) non-zombie costumes!  Yeah, it's Dragon*Con weekend.  But I plan to survive this by fleeing into the mountains and learning the ways of the mountain man from my dear grandfather.  And I don't plan on coming back down till the D*Con is gone, or I've learned the ancient art of picnic-table building, which-ever comes first.
Maybe I'll have a nice chunk of mountain scenery for a nice landscape and nature collection of photos.  Oh I know, they're not going to be of people in bear-suits... and I would love to see someone in a bear-suit up there... but it's nice and peaceful, so I'm going to enjoy my weekend my way.  Enjoy your gridlock ATL HA-HA! I'm Out!
This is That Wolfwood Guy, signing off.
