I realize in my eagerness to post I didn't realize how much of my digital photo album is... how should I say this... poor? Now I'm an amateur photographer, that doesn't mean every shot I take is perfect. Even worse, If you're going all shutter-bug on a con floor, you can't just demand that a cosplayer doesn't move for minutes on end while you try to get the perfect shot! Well... you can... but I'd like to think I have a little more tact than that. Still, blurry or poorly light pictures can ruin an otherwise good conversation piece, and that's just something that I'll have to improve on.
Anywho, my misadventures of That Wolfwood Guy aside, I've got a couple of casual shots. Nothing con-related here folks, just practice.
So like I said earlier, I get the occasional job offer, grab my stuff and hit the car and put some rubber to the road. Because I'm trying to practice with my camera, I'm not going anywhere without it now, and I pack that with me. And I'm glad I do that now, because Atlanta really is a beautiful city. At least the parts I've visited. For those of you who don't get the opportunity to run around and explore, at least you can see a few sides of Atlanta from me.
Anyone on the north side of Atlanta is going to recognize this couple. The good ole' King and Queen buildings, watching ever so vigilantly o'er I-285 and GA 400. I spotted the pair on my way to one of those rare job opportunities and just had to take the time to grab these two icons of the north side of town. I'm starting to wonder how the pair would look at night with their crowns all lit up? Maybe I'll go back and see.
It gets hot in the summer, and what good is summer without baseball and Coca-cola? Well at the local park you can find both. At least... I would have found both had I gone on a day that actually had baseball and soda-vendors. The day I chose to go, had neither. But that worn mass of steel at the back of the field reminds you this is always the place to go.
There's a baseball anime, right? If I get a bunch of people to wear that team's uniform and do a photo shoot here, this would be a relevant picture to my blog, right? Well tough luck, I don't know anyone who does those cosplays, I'll just have to find some other anime loosely connected to baseba- *thunder-bolts and lightning!* Does anyone remember Gunbuster? I could have sworn one of the super-attacks was hitting an energy ball with a massive baseball bat. And we can't forget FLCL, they had a baseball episode!
Ok, I'll admit, this one I didn't even have to get up from my desk to see. It's my roommate's dog, and... well... he's a little shi-tsu. Just sound that one out. He may look cute, but that's just a disguise. Deep down, he's really just plotting to steal my bed from me and enslave all man-kind to his evil wishes. But I can't complain, I get ring side seats to his hilarious sleep-barking and dreams of toys being stolen from him. He wakes up and dives for his nearest toy, it's kinda funny.
And I also didn't think it would be fair to the title of this post to not put a picture of a dog in it.
So till my next batch of photos, sit back, relax, and don't worry, next month has Dragon*Con and AWA. Only one of which I will pay to go to! I'll give you one guess, but I'm sure you already know the answer.
I'll see you all again once someone turns down the heat. That Wolfwood Guy, signing off.
